Organic Raclette cheese from France.

The name Raclette comes from the French word "racler", which means "to scrape". The cheese has a thin, brownish-orange rind and a pale yellow pâté with a few scattered open holes. It has a distinctive pleasant, aromatic aroma and a creamy texture, reminiscent of Gruyere cheeses, and melts wonderfully. The taste can range from nutty, slightly sour to milky.

Switzerland supplies 80% of raclette, while French raclettes - the ones we get from here - are a bit softer, and their taste is also smoother and creamier. Raclette cheese has also given its name to the raclette pan!

It is recommended to reserve about 200g of raclette per person.
