Perelló / Reieto
Perelló is a Spanish deli brand whose products many people encounter for the first time at a bar counter: a bowl of huge green olives, a little spice, a good vermouth or a cold beer next to them – and suddenly they are no longer left on the table. In the EU area, the products are now known as Reieto.
The brand's roots are in Barcelona, where Perelló has built its name particularly around high-quality olives, banderillas, pickles, and products related to aperitivo culture. Their products strongly reflect the Spanish way of eating: small salty items in the middle of the table, something to drink next to them, and plenty of togetherness.
Perelló is particularly known for its large Gordal olives, which are juicy, crisp, and almost absurdly large compared to regular cocktail olives. The selection also includes stuffed olives, guindilla chilies, banderillas, and other small salty delicacies that work perfectly alongside cheeses, cold cuts, and wine. The most important aspects of the products are good texture, clear flavors, and a certain snackability – you constantly want to take “just one more”.
Rolling Cheese acts as the official importer of Perelló / Reieto products in Finland. What particularly attracts us to Perelló is how joyful and approachable the food culture the products represent is. They are not the most serious element on the table – but often they are exactly what people talk about the next day. And honestly: it’s still almost impossible for us to keep Gordal olives in stock long enough.
