Tomme de Savoie Fermier is a farm cheese, hence the name "fermier". This means that it is made from start to finish on a single farm, using the milk of animals that live there.

The cheese's velvety rind resembles lichen-covered rock. The thin rind conceals a straw-colored cheese that is soft and creamy in texture. You can taste the flavors of fresh milk, hay, and nuts in the cheese.

Lighter evening milk is used to make Tomme de Savoie. The cheese was originally a farm worker's cheese - the rich morning milk was used to make the cheese for the gentry!
