VACHERIN MONT D'OR RETURNS TO OUR SELECTION IN AUTUMN 2026!
Vacherin Mont d'Or is only produced from August to March, making it one of the most coveted cheeses of autumn and winter!
This gourmet cheese from the Jura region is made from cow's milk produced during the winter seasons – when the herd spends its days eating straw and fodder instead of grazing in pastures. This special diet infuses the cheese with distinct richness, while the unique spruce bark wrap adds irresistible woody notes to its spoon-soft interior.
NOTE! Vacherin Mont D'Or naturally has a mix of white, blue, and green molds on its rind. These are part of the natural aging process of the rind and help to soften the interior paste to custard-like perfection. Don't be alarmed by the aroma of this washed rind's beauty! Its funky essence makes this a special cheese experience.
