VACHERIN MONT D'OR WILL RETURN TO OUR RANGE IN AUTUMN 2025!
Vacherin Mont d'Ori is only produced from August to February, which makes it one of the most sought-after cheeses of autumn and winter!
This delicate cheese from the Juran region is made from cow's milk produced during the winter months - when the herd spends its days eating straw and fodder instead of grazing in the pasture. This special diet fills the cheese with a distinct richness, while the unique pine wrapper brings irresistible woody notes to the spoonable-soft interior.
NOTE! The rind of Vacherin Mont D'Or naturally has a mix of white, blue and green molds on the surface of the rind. They are part of the rind's natural aging process and help soften the interior paste to custard-like perfection. Don't be alarmed by this washed rind beauty smell! Its funky essence makes this a special cheese experience.
