The village of Bra is turning into a cheese mecca - and Rolling Cheese is there!
In mid-September, Rolling Cheese packs its bags and heads to Italy, to the small village of Bra in the Piedmont region. Every two years, the CHEESE Festival takes place there, which has become one of the most important meeting places in the world for everyone who loves real raw milk cheese.
The CHEESE Festival is organized by the Slow Food movement and is unique in its scale: thousands of cheesemakers, ripeners, traders and experts from all over the world come together to share knowledge, exchange experiences and - above all - celebrate cheese. CHEESE is not just a fair or a market, it changes the atmosphere of the entire village of Bra: the streets are filled with producers' stalls, cheese stories, tastings and discussions about where the world of raw cheese is heading.
For us, this festival is like a direct window into the heart of cheese. Nelli and Peter go on site to meet producers and ripeners, hear about the latest trends and look for new delicacies that could also find their way into the Rolling Cheese range. Encounters like this are worth their weight in gold for us - they keep us connected to the roots of cheese and at the same time bring inspiration for the future.
So we'll be taking a short break in Töölö for our cheese-hunting trip from September 18th to 23rd, but we'll be back with suitcases full of new stories, flavors and inspiration - and maybe a few surprise cheeses too!
Rolling Cheese is closed from Thursday, September 18th to Tuesday, September 23rd. However, home deliveries will be delivered as normal on Thursday, September 18th.
