Open Job: Morning Sandwich Maker

Rolling Cheese is known for its grilled cheese sandwiches.
Over the past five years, we have refined the recipes, ingredients and preparation methods behind them, and they have become an important part of what we do. Consistency matters: every sandwich should be made carefully and exactly the way we intend it.
We are now looking for a Morning Sandwich Maker to join our team and support our sandwich preparation three mornings a week.
This is a practical, hands-on role focused on assembling our sandwiches according to established recipes and instructions. You won't be developing recipes or cooking dishes from scratch. Instead, you'll work accurately and efficiently with prepared ingredients to make sure our sandwiches meet the same standard every time.
The role
You will work 12 hours per week, across three fixed morning shifts:
Tuesday 07:00-11:00
Thursday 07:00-11:00
Saturday 07:00-11:00
The employment is permanent and part-time.
Your work will include:
- assembling sandwiches according to our recipes and specifications
- portioning and handling ingredients accurately
- making sure every sandwich is prepared consistently
- organising your workstation and ingredients efficiently
- maintaining excellent hygiene and cleanliness throughout the shift
- cleaning and resetting your workspace when the preparation is finished
We're looking for someone who is
Reliable. These are early morning shifts and the day's service depends on the sandwiches being ready on time.
Careful and precise. Consistency matters to us. Following recipes and instructions accurately is a central part of the job.
Fast with their hands. There is a set amount of work to complete each morning, so you need to be comfortable working at a good pace without becoming careless.
Organised and tidy. You should naturally keep your workstation clean, know what you are doing next and work systematically.
Previous kitchen or food-service experience is useful, but not essential. We are more interested in someone with the right working style and attitude.
You must have:
- a valid Hygiene Passport (Hygieniapassi)
- fluent English
- the ability to work independently once trained
